Outdoor experiences shaped around your group
AusCamp began in May 1986 as a specialist supplier of outdoor activity equipment for schools, community groups and families. It soon expanded into outdoor education and adventure programs, combining practical support with first-hand experience in the field.
Today, AusCamp supports residential school camps, secondary school journeys and expeditions, group accommodation, retreats, weddings and celebrations across four Victorian venues. Each enquiry starts with the people attending, the purpose of the stay and the practical details that matter to the organiser.
How AusCamp grew
From outdoor equipment to complete group experiences
Founder John Lindros was teaching physical education and leading a school outdoor education program when AusCamp began. That direct understanding of school goals helped shape a practical service that could adapt activities and programs to the needs of each group.
As AusCamp grew, its work expanded from equipment hire and one-off activities to residential camps, expeditions, longer outdoor education programs and hosted group stays. The scale has changed, but the personal approach remains central: listen first, plan carefully and help people feel supported before and during their experience.
